Balaji wrote the book Network state a few years back and the idea that people are organizing based on common interests first in the cloud and then in the physical world, resonated with us. Prior to that there have been many experiments with DAO and DAO like structures and operational models where some failed miserably and some survived and are still thriving.  Every large conference does hacker houses where the participants live, work, learn and participate together within the event. 

ZKLab will be hosting ZK Village for 2 weeks in Denver (February 16- March 1) that will coincide with ETHDenver event and where you can apply for an opportunity to live, learn and work with like minded researchers, developers and builders.
